On World Environment Day 2015, the National Defence Academy celebrated our waters by hosting India’s largest fresh water sailing regatta – The 33rd NDA-Inland Enterprise Championship at Peacock Bay, Pune.

Objective

• Mobilize event partnership

Strategy

Developed communication platform that expressed the sailors’ allegiance to the waters and embodied their support & commitment to the cause of Water. The platform also captured WWF’s philosophy on the need for water conservation & brought alive their message through the campaign.

Execution

• Facilitated partnership worth Rs. 5 lacs with World Wide Fund for nature, that pioneers the cause of water conservation in India.
• Executed social media for 14 days
• Scripted, shot and edited 4 social media videos and one thematic film – ‘I Am For Water’

Impact

• 200,000 people reached in 14 days
• Average of over 35 likes on FB page per day
• Started the ‘I am for water’ campaign – on ground and online.
• The pledge was signed by attendees of the event
• Organised a Facebook contest which received a great response
